Only a couple more weeks to the official kickoff to the season, Memorial Day Weekend! We’re slipping into our summer skin. The feeling of endless days, fresh produce, crisp white wine and songs that just encompass the moment. Days like this can’t come soon enough!
We’re beginning the month in the city, ready to run around to all our favorite spots and share the true reason we’re in New York. Can you keep a secret… it’s for our more anticipated launch, a product that will become your anywhere, everywhere essential. We’ve got you covered with this one.
So much fun is about to unfold. We hope to catch you at Washington Square Park for a game. A game that takes just a minute to win it. A minute to win what? - you're definitely thinking, also a secret, you’ll just have to stay up to date to find out.
Nonetheless, before we touchdown we must discuss packing. Ultimately the worst part of traveling. The desire to look your absolute best, to be your alternate identity, the person you are when you aren’t working from home. Although we may be scrambling to put together looks, we can share the staples that must come with!
Grouped under what has become the four S’s, these are the everyday essentials you’ll find us packing -
Sneakers:
We’re shifting away from neutral trainers and embracing bold color and texture. Two new to us brands are Back 70 and Coolway - both known for elevating classic styles with playful combinations of materials and unexpected colorways. Our brand marketing coordinators, Sydney and Yanna, are already on board: Sydney’s styling a pink pair from Coolway, while Yanna’s packed a chic Back 70 mule. A fun sneaker is the perfect way to spice up any outfit.
Sunglasses:
Sunglasses are the final touch to any outfit - whether we’re heading out of yoga in our workout sets or off to dinner in a sundress. Offering some shade but also some disguise depending on the day. Krewe is one of the brands on our radar. They’re not new to the sunglass market, but they’re a recent team favorite thanks to their classic shapes with fun, unexpected finishes. The STL Nylons in Caffe? Obsessed and already in one of our purses.
Sun Protection:
Even though the summer heat hasn’t hit the city doesn’t mean the sun isn’t out to play, scattered amongst spring showers. An SPF primer is the best way to sneak in some sun protection without disrupting our skincare and makeup rituals.
Self-care:
Travel can take a toll on the body, so we always pack a few pieces of our routines to keep our self care on track.
